Labour’s stance on immigration under criticism

By Jim Pickard and James Boxell

Pro-immigration groups and leftwing activists have spoken out against Labour’s leadership candidates for blaming the party’s electoral defeat on lax rules allowing too many people into the UK.

Hina Majid, legal policy director at the Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants, told the FT the group was “worried about the direction the party might be taking”.

THE IMMIGRATES CONTRIBUTION TO THE ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL WELBEING OF UK WAS ENOURMOUS AND UK ECONOMY WAS BOOMING BUT SINCE THE POLICY TO “TOUGH OR TIGHNING OF BORDERS”
THE ECONOMY IS STRUGGLING TO PICK UP. MANY IMMIGRATES AFTER STUDYING GOES BACK HOME WITH THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE.THE GOVERNMENT FORGET TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT THESE IMMIGRATES DON’T COLLECT BENEFITS RATHER THEY WORK AND PAY FOR EVERYTHING THEY NEED WHILE MOST UK CITIZENS PREFER TO COLLECT JOB SEEKERS ALLOWANCE AND OTHER BENEFITS.
ALSO THE PRODUCTIVITY OF ANY ECONOMY DEPENDS ON CITIZENS ATTITUDE TO WORK BUT MOST PEOPLE WHO ARE ENTITLED TO BENEFIT HAS THE CHOICE TO DECIDE TO WORK OR NOT, AT TIMES WORK TWO DAYS AND THREE DAYS OFF SICK KNOWING THEY WILL STILL BE PAID THEIR FULL SALARY THUS NO PRODUCTIVITY.
JOBS THE UK CITIZENS CAN NOT DO IS SUFFERING AS THE IMMIGRATES PERFER TO GO BACK HOME THAN BEING THAN BEING TREATED AS FIGUTIVES ALSO AFFECTED THE ECONOMY.
IN MY OPINON,THE TOUGH DECISSION ON IMMIGRATION AFFECTED THE UK ECONOMY NOT TO PICK UP FAST BEFORE THE ELECTION SO AFFECTED THE ELECTION RESULT.

In my opinion it’s fair enough to introduce the measure of English testing before a migrant settle in the UK based on my own experience without the skill of the language it is difficult to integrate within the community and the oppurunity of the migrant is so limited and it cost resentment to the migrant. After all this is English speaking country!
